This classy Sterling Silver "Genoa" Pendant was handcrafted by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. Founded in 1851, Genoa is significant as the first settlement in what is now the State of Nevada. This Pendant celebrates an area rich in history, natural resources, and renowned views of the Sierra Nevada and Carson Valley. The Pendant is crafted from Sterling Silver Sheet, polished to a fine sheen. "Genoa" lettering was designed and cut from another sheet of Sterling, then soldered in place. The Genoa lettering was oxidized, then cleaned, leaving just a trace of black for contrast. The Pendant hangs from a matching polished Sterling Silver Bail and is stamped on the back with the artist's hallmark and "Sterling." We've paired the Pendant with a chain of thirty-four 8mm Oxidized Sterling Silver Rounds. The Sterling Rounds have been polished at the circumference, creating an attractive blend of light and dark metal that mirrors the tones in the Pendant. At the top of the Necklace the 8mm Oxidized Rounds transition to Sterling Silver Link Chain. The Link Chain streamlines the upper profile of the Necklace and allows the length of the chain to be adjusted to the owner's preference. The Necklace is finished with a Sterling Hook Clasp and adorned with a Southwest Designs Sterling Charm (not shown). The piece weighs 70 grams, and is adjustable from 21 to 24 inches in length, plus the Pendant, which is 2-1/4 inches by 1-1/4 inches plus a 1/2-inch Bail.
